By signing the preliminary rental agreements, Petra Burmeister and Tim Menke from the municipal utility company GGS, Peter Südbeck from the Lower Saxon Wadden Sea National Park Authority, and Sascha Klöpper from the Common Wadden Sea Secretariat (CWSS) have now taken an important step towards the construction of the Trilateral Wadden Sea World Heritage Partnership Centre.

The newly published methodological guidelines are the first step in ensuring adequate data availability for modelling climate impacts at the site level.

On 26-27 January 2026, experts and stakeholders from across the Wadden Sea region held a trilateral workshop in Wilhelmshaven as part of the update process of the Breeding Bird Action.

The event aimed to support long-term scientific capacity along the flyway and explore how academic collaboration could be strengthened.

CWSS participated in the 9th Session of the Meeting of the Parties to the African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbird Agreement.

From 5–7 November, educators and interpreters from across the Wadden Sea gathered in Denmark for the annual IWSS workshop.
